More and more men are starting to lose the stigma for cosmetic procedures and now feel comfortable visiting a med spa so they can look and feel their best. Because of this men are now receiving more cosmetic procedures than ever before and Botox is at the top of that list. Botox is now the most requested cosmetic procedure for men. Botox can turn back the hands of time, it smooths wrinkles and gives you an overall more youthful appearance. Read on to find out why Botox is a procedure every guy needs:
How does Botox work?
Repeated muscle contractions from frowning, squinting, or raising eyebrows cause skin to furrow and fold, gradually resulting in the formation of facial lines. BOTOX® Cosmetic works beneath the surface and temporarily reduces the underlying muscle activity that causes moderate to severe frown lines, crow’s feet and forehead lines in adults – to help them look visibly smoother.
What is a procedure like?
Some patients receiving BOTOX® Cosmetic report the injections feel like a pinch. You may begin to notice a visible smoothing of frown lines, crow’s feet and forehead lines within 24 to 48 hours, with full results in 30 days lasting up to 4 months for moderate to severe frown lines. BOTOX® Cosmetic is not a permanent treatment. If you discontinue treatment the moderate to severe frown lines, crow’s feet and forehead lines will gradually return.
How often should you be treated?
Most should be treated with BOTOX® every 3-4 months but everyone is different. Talk with a BOTOX® provider about how often you should receive a treatment.
How much Botox will you need?
Everyone is different! Your BOTOX® provider will discuss your concerns with you and decide how many units of BOTOX® are necessary to meet your unique goals and facial structure.
